Honey at the family table: the essential safety line
Honey can be part of meals for many people, but it must never be given to a child younger than twelve months. CDC advises against adding honey to an infant’s food, water, formula, or pacifier because of the risk of botulism.
For everyone else, treat honey as food rather than medicine and consider sweetness within the broader diet.
