Tamandua Honey uses an evidence-status system to distinguish information about a regional honey category from information verified for the product offered for sale.

Evidence statuses

• Official record: a fact documented by a government or recognized registry, such as the existence and specification of the Planalto Sul Brasileiro Denomination of Origin.
• Peer-reviewed finding: a result reported for the samples, methods, and conditions described in a cited publication. It is not automatically a specification for Tamandua Honey.
• Product lab result: a value tied to a named Tamandua product lot, qualified laboratory, method, test date, and report.
• Commercial claim: a statement made by Tamandua or another seller. It is not treated as independent scientific proof.
• Not yet verified: information withheld as a product fact until supporting documentation is reviewed.

Bracatinga research

Published studies may report physicochemical composition, minerals, phenolic compounds, antioxidant assays, or in-vitro antimicrobial measurements for sampled Bracatinga honeydew honeys. Results can vary by geography, harvest, storage, sampling, and method. Literature ranges must not be copied into a Nutrition Facts panel, Certificate of Analysis, or lot claim.

TA and MGO

Total Activity is a biological assay result under defined test conditions. MGO is the measured concentration of methylglyoxal. They are not the same measurement. The “TA25+ comparable to MGO1197+” statement has been used commercially by Koora for one of its Marri honey products. Tamandua does not present that statement as a universal scientific conversion or as a verified fact about a Tamandua lot without product-specific testing and a documented comparison method.

Origin and certification

The official Planalto Sul Brasileiro Denomination of Origin does not automatically authorize Tamandua to use the seal or protected claim. Product-level eligibility, traceability, and authorization remain pending until documented. “Organic” will not be used as a product claim unless a valid certification scope supports the product and intended U.S. market statement.

Tamandua Honey is food, not medicine. Site content is educational and does not diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure disease. In-vitro laboratory findings do not establish a clinical effect from eating the product. Do not give honey to children younger than 12 months.
